In 1989 Lynn and Chris Jahnke started selling a range of Handbags via party plan and Essential Additions began from their Melbourne home.

Customers and Hostesses thought this was a great way to shop for designer handbags. Very soon other people wanted to get in on the act and so the first Sales Consultants joined.  Not long after that the growing business moved out of home into the first commercial premises. 

These days there are Essential Additions Consultants holding Presentations in all parts of Australia every day of the week. 

In the mid 90's we started a mail order business for our customers who couldn't hold or get to one of our Presentations. Essential Additions was also one of the very first online retailers in Australia selling designer handbags and leather handbags, with our first shopping site going live in 2000.   

Party plan continues to be our main focus and in 2009 we launched a much improved, updated website which also offers our customers improved online shopping convenience where they are not close to a Consultant.  

To date we have served over 1.4 million Australian Customers. We're proud to still be an Australian family owned company. 

Our mission is to bring our Customers excellent value and  today's best fashion in designer handbags and quality leather handbags. We aim to achive great service while providing a motivating working environment for our Consultants and Staff.
